What's a Keiretsu?

A keiretsu is a set of companies with interlocking business relationships, strategies and sometimes shareholdings. The concept began in Japan after WWII with banks that found mutually beneficial ways to help each other succeed. Companies in a keiretsu don't necessarily maintain ownership in each other-it is really about relationships, collaboration and co-creation.
